The name of the game at the end of the millenium is "expand and consolidate". 1992 is a magic year, for Spain in general, and for Jesús del Pozo in particular. Jesús del Pozo decides to expand his universe to include the magical and mysterious world of perfumery. His fragrances bewitch millions of men and women around the world.
1990
Jesús del Pozo presents his collection in Paris's La Coure Carrée du Louvre.
He launches the Neomode line in the U.S.A. Women´s Wear Daily praises his career and the prestigious Bloomingdale´s department stores invite him to design their window displays.
1992
"Duende", his first women's fragrance, is launched.
Receives the Golden T of Telva Prize for Best Women's Fragrance.
Creates the uniforms for the personnel at Spain's pavillion during the Seville Universal Exhibition (along with those of the Spanish Red Cross, those for the staff of RENFE's long distance trains and those for the staff of the FNAC stores).
He creates his first line of accessories (lingerie, jewellery and scarfs).
1994
"Quasar", his first Men's fragrance, is launched.
Receives the Golden T of Telva Prize for Best Men's Fragrance.
Receives the Fifi Prize for Premio Fifi Best Men's Fragrance.
1996
His Ready-to-Wear collection for women begins its industrial production and opens corners in the prestigious El Corté Inglés department stores in Spain.
Introduces his first bridal collection during Moda Barcelona.
Launches "Esencia de Duende".
1997
Launches his new Japanese brand "JDP", a joint project with Daimaru Inc.
Launches "Halloween".
Opens his flagship store on Almirante Street. Here he brings together his whole creative universe.
1998
Jesús del Pozo is granted the Gold Medal for the Fine Arts by His Majesty King Juan Carlos I. He is the first designer to receive this honour.
Launches a line of watches.
Creates the wardrobe for the Ballet Pathetic Vals for Aída Gómez and José Antonio Ruiz, presented during the Tribute to García Lorca at the Granada Festival, bt the Compañía Andaluza de Danza.
Creates the wardrobe for the opera Carmen by Bizet, produced at Madrid's Teatro Real.
1999
Launches "Quasar Adventure".
Receives the Golden T of Telva Prize for Best Spanish Designer.
Is the driving force behind the creation of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), over which he presides until December 2000.
Creates the wardrobe for zarzuela (Spanish operetta) El juramento produced by the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
